It's complex. More complex than ever!

 

We've identified 8 ๐ฌ๐ญ๐š๐ ๐ž๐ฌ over the years and have continued to tweak and adapt as our research identifies.

 

Here is an overview of each stage and what the traveller is doing:

 

  • ๐ƒ๐ซ๐ž๐š๐ฆ๐ข๐ง๐  ๐’๐ญ๐š๐ ๐ž:In the Dreaming Stage, travellers are captivated by possibilities. They're scrolling through stunning landscapes on social media, imagining themselves in distant lands.

  • ๐“๐ซ๐ข๐ ๐ ๐ž๐ซ ๐’๐ญ๐š๐ ๐ž:A special offer received via email, a friend talking about a recent trip or a breathtaking image can serve as a trigger, propelling the traveller from dreaming to planning. This moment of inspiration is where the journey takes a new turn.

  • ๐๐ฅ๐š๐ง๐ง๐ข๐ง๐  ๐’๐ญ๐š๐ ๐ž:Armed with ideas, travellers dive into the Planning Stage, researching destinations, reading reviews, and sketching out itineraries. They're weighing options, seeking the perfect fit for their adventure and often spending ๐ก๐ฎ๐ง๐๐ซ๐ž๐๐ฌ ๐จ๐Ÿ ๐ก๐จ๐ฎ๐ซ๐ฌ in this phase!

  • ๐๐จ๐จ๐ค๐ข๐ง๐  ๐’๐ญ๐š๐ ๐ž:"Confidence peaks in the Booking Stage as travellers lock in flights and accommodations, turning their plans into reality. The excitement is tangible as they make those final clicks.

  • ๐€๐ง๐ญ๐ข๐œ๐ข๐ฉ๐š๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง ๐’๐ญ๐š๐ ๐ž:As the trip nears, the Anticipation Stage is filled with excitement. Travellers are packing bags, reviewing itineraries, and sharing their upcoming adventures on social media.

  • ๐„๐ง ๐‘๐จ๐ฎ๐ญ๐ž ๐’๐ญ๐š๐ ๐ž:Now on their way, travellers navigate through the En Route Stage with a mix of excitement and nerves. They're checking flight updates, posting airport selfies, and anticipating the moment of arrival.

  • In-Destination Stage:Fully immersed in their destination, travellers explore, dine, and experience the culture around them. They're living out the dreams conceived in the Dreaming Stage, creating memories to last a lifetime.

  • ๐๐จ๐ฌ๐ญ-๐“๐ซ๐ข๐ฉ ๐’๐ก๐š๐ซ๐ข๐ง๐  ๐’๐ญ๐š๐ ๐ž:"Back home, travellers enter the Post-Trip Sharing Stage, reflecting on their experiences and sharing stories and photos. They become storytellers, inspiring others to embark on their own journeys.
